I have my cables bundled in a wire wrap from my mobile computer stand to the CNC. It keeps it neat and it is also off to the side a little and less of a tripping hazard.

I actually scored a quart of top quality bright yellow the other day for two bucks. This was something like an $18+ can of paint that apparently just wasn't the right shade of yellow for someone. :)
