On my laser which is probably not the same model as yours being my machine is older I simply turn the lens cap(I guess thats what its called ) to bring it into sharp focus .

Joe , that is pretty much just an effect of of the engraving , the filled numbers and shapes take on more of a white tinted look while the outline only engraved areas show off more of the color .

Framing them is not as uneconomical as you may think , it doesn't take a lot of time or a lot of material .

Thanks Charlie . I would have liked to get a few pieces of cherry or maple in the one board that has just sapele and walnut to just break up the dark look of it ,but I used what I had available .
