Just find a sign supply company near you. Or even a signshop that does good work ... hopefully they'll sell you a chunk.
Cheap shops won't have it.... they'll have garbage viyl. If worse comes to worse, I'll mail you a piece. How big?

TR, I found a "reasonably local" signmaker's supply in the area, but I need to know what to ask for. What is a good choice for a preferably permanent adhesive backed, durable, reflective product that I can cut numbers/letters from using a drag knife? I see things like Avery 1200, but I'd like to know if I'm on the right track here since I'm on a start-up "shoestring" budget and mistakes can be costly.

I don't need a large amount...I plan on totally re-doing our own roadside mailbox setup and will leverage that for marketing. (using a different number for the marketing photos for privacy reasons, of course)

Look into Oracal/Oralite 5600. This is a good quality plotter cut reflective vinyl- permanent adhesive, good durability, reasonably priced. Not sure how it will react to a drag knife though. Ideally the knife/blade is set to cut through the vinyl but not the backing layer.

Thanks, Jeff. I'll check it out.

My impression is that the drag knife can be set to a pretty precise depth of cut, but I guess that's also a factor of material holding, too. Once I have my knife, I can get a little deeper into what I can and can't do with it...it shipped and should be here today or tomorrow for me to play with.
