If you are looking for any feedback from a user perspective, I'd be glad to relay my experience. I'm overall pretty satisfied with the capability that Bobcad provides. It is not wood working centric like Aspire but is capable of many of the same type of operations. I'd bought the software before owning a CNC router and I wasn't sure I was going to get a plasma cutter and/or a router but the software handles multiple types of machines. Also, if you get defined as a hobbyist (ie you do this stuff part time), they provided me significant discounts from their retail prices.

Red face

absolutely rich we would love to have feedback from a user perspective, I really like the ability of Bobcad V26 to produce quality 3D models and toolpaths... There is defiantly more to come.
Thanks

Looks like you picked right up on the software. Excellent job. I've done very little of the 3D but have worked with it some and ran simulated tool paths. I've done some work with the rotary and Bobcad updated my post processor to handle the rotary axis being aligned with the Y axis. The default appears to be along the X axis for most machines. I just haven't found 3D or rotary items that took priority for cutting yet.

The reason is I can email you a link to download a working copy. The download off the web will not let you post code. The one I will send you, will let you post code...

Does a V26 demo exist that shows a complete start to finish example creating a simple 2D rectangle, make the offset for the tool, set the material depth of cut, max depth of cut per pass, add a few drills, then send to .txt, .tap etc? I have seen bits and pieces, but it would sure help to see a complete typical process for my needs.

Make rectangle or other shape in 2D
Add drills
Pocket a circle
Output
