Default Digital Sign

Here is a sign I made for my son, I should have placed the camera on the other side of the router.

CNC Machine: CAMaster Stinger

Sign is made from 1/2" MDF using Aspire 3.0 software, the text has a base height of 1/8". I did not use a roughing toolpath I went straight to a finishing toolpath.

Finishing toolpath: 1/8" taper ball nose, 14000 rpm at 100 Ins/Min
Cutout toolpath: 1/4" end mill at 14000 rpm at 150 Ins/Min

Total cutting time 3 hours 15 minutes.

Sign size: 14 1/2" x 9 1/2"

Mick

Great job Mick. At first I thought your video was going to have DD sound.
Great sign.

I was thinking HD, 720p or 1080p would be enough

I sprayed the sign black first, then using hard sponge lightly dab the raised letters with silver paint.

It is interesting to come up with a vacuum cleaner. Thanks for the idea :)

Hmmm...why have I never considered cutting pocketing paths on the bias. I imagine it cuts down tool marks a bunch.

Great sign.

Absolutely. My dust collector is the best vacuum I have in the shop. I have a fitting on the dust boot so I can just slide it off after I'm done cutting.
