Default Remote Dust Collector and Hurricane Vac Pump Switch

I moved the dust collector, Air compressor and hurricane vac pump into the adjacent insulated room to the CNC. It worked great, very quiet, only issue is it takes a while to get to the power switches.

I started thinking how hard could it be to relocate the switches. 6 hours later! It works and glad I took the time to do it but it was a big job for sure.

Thought I would post incase someone was thinking about doing the same.

Thumbs up

Ronnie, I have to ask, did you think about a remote controlled 220V switch for each? My machine is smaller but I hooked my vacuum to a remote switch since it is mounted outside and I am lazy. RF remotes are great and they work from anywhere. I use one on my DC as well. Just curious is all. Cheers.

Default Good question

I did consider it. Note however that the Hurricane has 2 magnetic switches, one for primary first two motors and the second for the second set of motors with one plug. I am not able to use the power plug to connect the remote.

It would be fine for the dust collector but because I was doing other two I decided I would like to have them all on the same panel.
It took a little effort but I allow a lot of January for improvements so perfect time to do this.
