No worries, Kathy. It certainly isn't the first time!

Be sure to cut a test piece to make sure you are happy with it before delving right in. The white bead board is probably the worst since it is essentially steamed together to make a board - BUT as I said, crank that RPM up as high as it will go + a 4-flute end mill to lighten up the chipload. Try test cutting @ 60 IPM and have a look....then 90....then 120IPM at high RPM. See what gives the best finish.

When I was a CNC trainer, I'd instruct noobs to test cut their parts using either the pink or blue insulation foam before they cut into expensive or exotic lumber. This gave them the ability to view what was going to happen without the chance of breaking a bit. I am not sure if you can substitute for the pink/blue insulation foam with this project, but it does cut better because it is extruded (no beads) and it is 2-3x denser. The pink/blue stuff does V-carve pretty well as long as the RPM is high and feeds are 60-90 IPM.

Just keep in mind that most packaging is press formed in heated dies - this gives it a nice finish and increases the density. I don't know what your exact application is without seeing it - so take what I say as generic knowledge. I'm saying that because I am hoping the customer isn't expecting heirloom quality furniture using $7 oriented strand board (OSB) plywood...or something to that effect...right?

Let us know how you make out.
