Default Stinger II Shipped Monday

So while I am waiting I decided to maybe make life a bit easier for the delivery of my Stinger II in the next few days. I found casters on sale at Woodcraft and I bought 6, I also bought 4X4's so that when the box is being pulled off the truck by the tow company I'll slip these under it and screw them on the crate. Figure it would be easier then trying to move this crate around with no wheels. Below is the picture of the contraption I made. When it arrives I'll post more pictures showing how they worked.

Welcome to the Stringer II club Bob. Mine arrived a couple months ago. It's been really interesting learning how to use the machine.

I too used a towing company to transfer the crate from the freight truck to my shop. The towing company guy was able to push the crate right into my garage. He said he does this sort of thing a few times each year, which surprised me. Your experience may be different and the wheel sets you've built look they will work great.

Are there other ways to view the photos? Photobucket doesn't work. By the way, what the truck parts for towing did they use for it? Do they have a forklift?

No fork lift, we used just a normal roll back. It was a beast trying to get it out of the box when it was below freezing outside.

Default Fwiw

The roll back driver can set it down in front of your garage or shop door and use the roll back bed to push inside. Years ago I drove part-time for a wrecker company and it is amazing what you can do with a roll back if you use your head. Just be sure he pushes on the bottom of the crate where the pallet is and not up on the box.

I mounted wheels on the crate in my garage and my Wife and I had to roll it around the house through the grass to the back where my shop is in the basement. One of the wheels collapsed and I had to readjust on the fly. What a goat rope that was but we managed to get it on the table and inside.
