Default Z Limit Switch "ignored" during Initialization

My Z limit switch is being "ignored" during initialization. The switch is good. PC to Control box connection is good. At a loss as to what could be the issue. If anyone has any recos, I'd love to hear them. I've got some work to be done today and prefer not wait to talk with Support tom.

Thanks in advance.

Paul...
Switch is good... verified how? The switch can be good, and yet the connection to the PCI controller may not be good.

When switch is pressed, does red arrow appear on right side of Z in the position indicator? Have you checked to see if there is a change of state in the "view outputs" dialog?

Have you reseated your DB37 cable(s)?

Yes . . . red arrow appears . . . so that was first basis of my assumption that the switch was good. Also, a waste of time but I switched the x and z switches just to double check.

Have you checked to see if there is a change of state in the "view outputs" dialog? Yes. No change.

Have you reseated your DB37 cable(s)? Took the easy way out and assumed that since they didn't budge when I firmly pulled/pushed that they were good. I just reseated and , well, back in business.

My long list of "Gary, I owe you one" just got longer. Thank you. Might as well toss in . . . thanks for reinforcing (for the millionth time) a trait that you constantly try to pound in some of our heads . . . be methodical, patient and completely thorough.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
