Default 3D wildlife scene

Im looking for a wildlife scene with deer that looks like something similar off the Vectric design and carve software (the coat rack more specifically). Ive looked at getting the program but with the update to aspire its close to $2000. I would like to try something out before I buy the program. Thanks

Thanks Jay. I was looking at the "collections disk" not the whole clipart collection. I found the coat hook wildlife scene. Thats what I will do.

Good morning everyone and I hope I'm going off the correct thread so if not then I will apologize in advance . I too want to run a scene/panel for a personal project in my home but haven't run any 3 dimensional work as of yet. I did get the Vectric free machining software from them and will make up mind on which scene to mill but are there any set up files with the program as far as tooling ? I will probably go with a "Dish" style engraving but just do not see anything as far as how to set up and run the job or do they attach that information at time of purchase ? Wow , don't I wish I could afford Aspire !! Just don't want to waste material trying to figure this out when I can ask the brilliant minds of my fellow Camheads !!

Best Wishes

Steve

Hi Stevie,
I bought my Stinger specially for doing 3D scene with it.

It is fairly easy. At first I was setting at 80 IPM and 30 Plung rate.
I got really nice carving, but after I have tried with faster feed rate and plunge rate I realize that the Stinger is good enough to go faster.

So now I am running it at 200 FR and 80 PR.

The size of your bits depend on the size of the carving.
Remember that the smaller the bit will be the greater details you will have.

Comeback with the dimension of the work you want to do and we will go from there, also tell us what kind of wood you will use.

Respect
Claude

Claude , thank you so much for your help and since this is a job for the wife I
really want it to come out nice. The block size for the area on the face of my hearth would be approx. 8"X 24" give or take a little but if I need to order mills then that's fine but I just didn't want to try this flying blind without some input from the experts. I can see how one could go broke just on my own projects alone I chew through alot of material. Do you think Camaster has a 12 step program for addiction ? Cause I'm hooked

Best Wishes

Steve

I would assume that the thickness would be 1 inch?

Do you have allot of details in the design and also letters?

What kind of medium? ( wood, HDU...) Maple, Fir...?

Respect
Claude

Sorry for all the questions because I have to prepare for the first answer! :)
