Default newbie-importing files - first project

Hi everyone!

Thought we were ready to make our first cuts today, but no dice. Having a hard time importing file into the actual Visual CNC Control panel. I THINK I have it correct from Cut 2D Pro (looks good with the tool path 3D view). Files saves in Cut 2D as a CRV file which won't load into the CNC. Tried to import as DXF or HPGL but then CNC program saves as a SHP file which will not load/file not found. I have been searching the forum for hours trying to find a solution and am at a loss. What am I missing?

You have to create your toolpaths. Sounds like maybe you've done that. Then you have to save your toolpaths as a .tap file. Check the toolpaths, then save them in the same box on the right where they are created. You'll have to specify the post processor to use. There should be one for your machine. If you can't find it, get access to the owners area here and they are there for download. Wincnc opens the tap file and runs it. Sounds like you might want to start small and work up. A good first project is surfacing the spoilboard.

The machine does not run a crv. It runs a .tap toolpath file. You use Cut 2d or vcarve pro type software to make the toolpath.

Online vectric tutorials would be your best friend.
