Ive notice some some play in the shaft in the z direction. Id probably say 0.03 if I move it with hand. I changed the bearings not long ago and everything was tight then. Im wondering if something is wearing out allowing it to move. Had anybody else had this happen before? Thanks.

Had similar issues and spoke to Gary Campbell. Gary said most likely looseness in the ball screw. Waiting for time to disassemble and see if it is a loose screw bolt etc.

This is actually a router issue. The shaft the collet attaches to move up and down.

I think I have fixed my issue. I pulled the top plastic cover off. Inside there is a set screw in the center of the shaft that tightens the shaft to the inside of the bearing. After losening that screw I slowly lower the router down to force the shaft up. I then tapped the center of the bearing down and tightened the set screw back up. Done. I did replace the bearings 6 months ago so I may not have paid as much attention as I should have. But now I know. Hope this helps at least one other person.
