Default X drive not working

I was about 10 min from completing my first larger sign when it started going straight up and down. The x drive is not working. I can manually push it over with the machine on. I know this is not a good sign but don't know exactly what it is or what I need to do. Any help will be appreciated.

Spoke on the phone to tech support which was awesome! Belt had come off. I had to adjust the gear it was not lining up with the bigger gear. Got it back running in less than 1 hour.

I have heard several people mention belts. I thought these were R&P machines, where are the belts located?

John,

Glad to hear it was only the belt! When my x stopped working it was the old 1/4" shaft breaking and I had to practically dismantle my shop to get at it to replace it. Now I have a nice big hole in the bottom of my table so I can get at it to adjust tension and I have an extra motor sitting on my shelf!
It's not like I run my machine every day but I was down for more than a week and started to go through withdrawal...

The belt is for a gear reduction between the motor and pinion
