Default One-day Surface Gilding Workshop

Last Thursday we held a one-day "surface gilding" workshop down the road a piece from here. This was a class for "raw beginners", using 23 karat patent gold, which is probably the easiest method of laying leaf. People came from as far away as Tennessee, Louisiana & Texas.
The pretty girl in the 1st photo is Kelly Haas, one of the reps for Duna USA ( Corafoam) , who rightfully thinks that a sales rep should understand how her product is being used in the real world. Duna USA & W&B Gold Leaf sponsored the class & we wholeheartedly thank them for their participation.
The 3rd pic is my piece, before the gild. I've not put the 2nd layer on yet, but if I remember, I'll post when completed.

Jim, just call me if you've forgotten the process. Or, watch a couple of videos on-line, for laying "patent leaf".
