Default Soft limit exceeded

I am getting this message and my bit will not go down to the material, nor does it move. Can someone explain what my problem may be.

I don't know about it not moving? Maybe turn it off and blow out the big multi pin cable between the pc and machine and reconnect and initialize.

But not going down to the spoilboard I'm familiar with.
G92 will clear local zeros. Reset your zeros afterwards.

G49 if you are wanting to clear base zero for spoilboard and calibrate the ftc.

"Soft limits" are machine settings that prevent the operator from telling their machine to cut too deep into the spoil board (in the case of the Z limit) or outside the working window for X and Y coordinates. You may want to check to see if you are consistent with your tool path being referenced to the same surface that you measured your tool length with. IE, top of material or top of spoilboard

I just had a "crash course" in soft limits while milling slots in my spoilboard. :)
