Nice setup...it looks like the hose support is hanging from an antler.

Default Stinger II advice

Hi ALL,

Was hoping owners of stinger II's might give me some feedback.

I am looking at a stinger 2 vs a CNC with ball screws. Most of the wood work I do moderate accuracy is fine but I have been doing some work on a Roland CNC which has an accuracy of .02mm. I have been using it do cut repair patches in vintage instruments.

I assume a larger CNC like the stinger is very accurate but was hoping for first hand feedback.

How accurate can the Stinger 2 get?
If it cuts slow will it cut with this kind of accuracy in soft & hard woods?

Thanks!!!!!!

.02mm =0.00078in

Camaster specs cites 0.002in repeatability

The kind or tolerance you desire could be achieve on a stinger II but you would have to cut all the pieces the same day ...if not at the same time.
Temperature and humidity would have a significant impact in wood when trying to match pieces at 0.02mm.
