Default Elk ceiling fan cover

Here is a short video of a pine fan cover I made to go with a room that has lots of pine paneling. The elk were some stock 3-D models from vector Art 3-D. The circular plate was done with the 2 rail sweep in Aspire. The programming only took 20 minutes, but the cutting was about 3 hours (I worked on a customer's fireplace mantel while the machine was doing the 3-D work, so I guess the 3 hours don't count)

Nice. Was this for you or a customer? Nicely done video, what do you use to do your video editing?

Thanks for the compliments Jim For my videos I use Corel Video studio pro X3. It has both Basic and Advanced settings. I stick with the basic.

Rich it is for me.... sort of. I have a customer that lives in the upper valley east of me. He is looking for wildlife themed woodwork on a big scale to put in his home. This video will be sent to him to show what my machine can do.

You might want to make a slightly different video to show your customer - rather than emphasizing how simple the design and carve process is, make it look very difficult and time consuming

Unless the person knows a little about CNC machines. They think it's hard, and do not understand the process. I tried to explain the simplicity of doing a project on a CNC to a reporter the other day. I told her about how I made the wooden nickel for a bird house competition. I told her the process...... use some pre-made 3-D models (in this case from the Vetric's plan of the month) tweak the design a bit, set the feeds and speeds, and that's it, but she still wrote it up like I built the 3-D model from scratch.

Here is the story.
