    Hey Brother
I don't usually do too much prep work beside trimming or getting rid of background .
I don't work with the older version because they would lock up my dxf programs ( AutoCAD ) too.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I found that you just keep tweaking the values one at a time till you get the desired effect.
Make sure your spacing is bigger then your Max. line width.
Also whether to make a v-carve or pocket will make a big difference.
I will pull the dxf into Aspire and then either trim the ends ( Lots of work ) or adjust the bit size that I'm cutting with.
While a v-carve will get you every line, sometimes I find that if you go with a 1/8" endmill or 1/16" endmill it will make a nice finished product.

You might post a picture of what you're wanting to do or send me an e-mail springfieldcncrouting@gmail.com and I will do what I can

    Later brother

Hi Larry, met you at the aspire workshop this year, i just started playing with the halftone downloads,DXF Halftone2.1 and also HalftonerV1.4. My question is, do you prep the photos before uploading to the halftoner, if so is there something in poarticular that works well. Ex. high contrast..... High or low DPI?
Also, the halftoner 1.4 seems easier to use but it locks up coreldraw, the dxf has hundreds of thousands of points. is there a way to reduce that to make it work better.
Do you prefer one program over the other.
    Appreciate any help.
    Thanks Chad Fitzgerald Wisconsin
