All you will need to do for a 5hp spindle is to upsize the VFD. CAMaster sells 5hp models that operate on single phase so they should be able to set you up with the proper VFD and programming.

Not sure about todays build, because they are constantly improving the specs, but they used to be 382 ozin. So 400 to 500, a 25% torque increase with the usual small percentage speed decrease

Kids, kids, kids....

You adjust the G28 homing routine to the pins, not the pins to the homing parameters. You can adjust all 3 axes a thousandth of an inch at a time, if needed.
