Just in follow-up, I much prefer the the MM Iridescent Gold over the 1-Shot gold, even though it's more touchy to apply and requires more coats for good coverage. It's a brighter look and will hold me over until I can get through some other learning things and move on to the gilding thing when I'm ready. It's also a water borne which makes for easier cleanup and consistency with the other paints I'm prone to use. ("Ooops" paint from the 'borg, of course)
