Hello, I am new to the group. A hobby woodworker part time. Wanting a CNC router to cut parts, looking at the Stinger 1, 2 x 3 model. Anyone want to tell me about their thoughts and experiences with their Stingers or Camaster?? Also, I'm in Columbia TN, is there anyone close so I could see the machine in action??
Thanks, Snoopy1 |

Snoopy1,
I have an SR-24 and would be happy to answer any questions, chat on the phone, etc. Shoot me an email using the address in my signature and I'll help any way I can.

I'm in Warner Robins Ga. and have a Stinger 1, 2X3. I'm a hobbyist as well. I use V Carve Pro software which is very easy to use. The machine itself is very user friendly using WinCNC. Most difficult thing is using your imagination as to what you want to make.
If you email the factory they will let you take a factory tour and show you a machine in action.

Thanks Steve, I went to Cartersville had the tour seen their 2 x 4 Stinger in action. Cody and Grant are excellent. The place seemed to good to be true. I was very impressed. I am in Columbia TN. How long have you had your machine?? What do you think of that Milwaukee router??
Thanks Joe |

Your talking to a bias crowd but yeah, they are great machines. I’ve had mine right at 7 years without a problem. It just works. As mentioned, the WinCNC controller & Vectric software are both top shelf, as is the machine.

I just want to say a big thank you to everyone, for the things you wrote down to tell me and taking the time to do so. You are truly good people. In a couple of months I plan on getting me a Stinger 1. Now for the bad news, after I get this Stinger1, I will probably be asking for help on things I am doing wrong. Also I want you to know I have spent almost three weeks looking at different CNC machines, mostly online. I have to tell you, for my purposes, total package to total package, Camaster is the best package for me.
Thanks again, Joe Kuhl |
