Thought I'd show a couple little jigs I made using my Cobra.

Had to make 10 recipe boxes, so I made a couple jigs to make them easier and more precise. The actual boxes were mostly made with hand tools and the tablesaw, but the inlay was done on my Cobra. The wood hinges are Rob Cosman style, which are surprisingly easy to make. He has youtube videos of the process.

Yes, the jig is for making the box joints. I use a Forrest box joint blade set. The grooves in the fence are every 1/2", and I shim the Forrest set a couple thousandths so the joints will slide together with glue.

I always hated the single pin for box joint jigs, because any error is multiplied as you go. So I came up with this simple jig that makes it very simple and accurate to get perfect box joints. Easy to make with an accurate CNC machine!

That is pretty clever! Thanks for a good tip on yet one more way of creating box joints. I usually do mine on the router table with an Incra jig.
