Default Dust Boot Recommendations

I am looking at improving on my dust collection in the coming months and to start Im looking at setting up just a better dust boot. I have the X3 but am starting by just booting the main cutter. Anyone have a recommendation for this? I am running just the porter cable routers in the setup. I really like the idea of a clear dust boot and also magnetic detach for easier tool changes. Anyone have some suggestions?

+1 on the KentCNC dust boot. They make a great product and will customize a boot for you, although Im sure that would be a tad pricier than an "off the shelf" model. Either way you can't go wrong.

i opted for the std model from Camaster, on an atc panther. the only issue i have with it is with long bits, there are a lot of chips that come out the side. very understandable for the situation. once the bit gets buried somewhat, and the brush makes contact with the wood - very little gets by.

so i guess if longer brush material is available, i would consider it.

Does anyone know the acrylic thickness on the Kent Dust shoe parts? Both the boot and the magnet on brush attachment?

My Kent shoe uses approximately .5" thick clear acrylic if I'm not mistaken. (I didn't run out to measure it) Magnets are used to hold the "hula skirt" piece to the permanently attached mount on the spindle.

The Kent CNC site says the attachment ring is 1/2" and so is the brush skirt.
You can also buy additional 1/2" spacer rings when using longer bits in the spindle. I bought 1 additional 1/2" spacer and that setup has served my needs.
