Default What type of "rubber" is this?

This is a video from 2013 showing a Camaster machining "rubber" soles for flip flops. Jim Haga posted it but I know he is gone now. Does anyone know what material this is?

Thanks,
John

I can't help you on the type of rubber in that video, but it was supplied by a potential buyer and cut as "proof of concept". I was there when Luke cut the flip flops, but no one said what the material was.

The yellow foam (if it is foam) next to the flip flops looks a lot like snap-on's tool foam. Which I have water jetted before but I'm not sure if it holds up to routing.

Here is toolbox foam being routed. I'm pretty sure the material is similar

When I was shown that video, I believe it was joey that told me they just disassembled cheapo wal-mart flip flops, and routed the soles.

The flip flops I have printed with sublimation have been made out of High Elastic EPDM/EVA rubber.
