Default Knocking noise coming from one of the X axis motors

I have a 5x10 Cobra. There is a knocking noise about 2 knocks per revolution that is coming from the motor pulley on one side. It just randomly started. I pulled everything apart and loosened the belt and the knock went away. But the belt was too loose and so I tightened it back snug enough to not have any slack and it started knocking again. There is NO indication of something rubbing against something else when everything is pulled apart and disassembled. So is it in the motor?

Help!

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Did you check for stuff stuck in the gear or rail teeth?

Check the bearings on the trans shaft (has the large gear)
