Default Hello, etc.

Hey everyone,

My nameís Jim - long time lurker, first time poster.

Got my Stinger I about a month ago and have it mostly set up now in my (tiny) shop. Figured Iíd share some pictures and introduce myself.

Iím an industrial designer by trade and tend toward the mechanical side of that field. Most of my experience is in consumer electronics and automotive. Iíve done some guitar and instrument building as a hobby and aim to develop that into more of a business over time, which is the main reason I moved, built out this shop in my apartment, and got the Stinger. Hopefully once Iím up to speed Iíll be able to do in-house design prototyping for clients with larger products, and maybe take on other peoples' cutting jobs along with the guitar work. I havenít had access to a CNC for about a decade now so Iíve really been looking forward to having her up and running. Bits should arrive later today..

Iíll post soon about my plans for the spoilboard and few other topics but Iíll keep it to this for now.

Happy to be part of the community!

Welcome aboard, Jim!

I'm awaiting the arrival of my machine and this forum has been a valuable resource for my learning and figuring out various CNC things. Helpful, knowledgeable people roaming the CAMaster forums.

If you haven't already, be sure to check out the Vectric forums for more of the software techniques and toolpathing side of CNC (assuming you use vectric software).

Anyone else unable to see any of the photos in the original post? I see large blank areas where the photos should be located.

Changed the permissions where the images were hosted. Should work now - any luck?
