Opti-scout retrofit

Ok listen, I know anybody from CAMaster is going to tell me, no no it needs to be bought on a new machine, sure, I understand supporting it when they didn’t build it is an issue, I built computers for years and people want to mess with things and then call for help when they screw up.

The addition of the opti-scout as an option on new machines really interests me. I dropped I think like 60k on a Panther coming up on two years ago now and the darn thing only has maybe 30 hours on it, so I’m not getting rid of it, but hoping to use it more. I do print a lot and the addition of the opti-scout could give me another entire machine worth of use out of my panther. So I guess just seeing if anyone has added one and what would be involved in adding one.. just curious

I understand camaster not wanting to support upgrades they did not personally install. I would suggest you talk straight to wincnc to make it happen.

Yeah no get it, I’m just wondering if anybody’s done it or would know what’s involved?

I would contact WINcnc it is a plug in of some sort. As i understand it it is not there first time

I think you can buy it from them, Mike has been involved in the development of CAMaster software many years as the WINcnc Man ! I have known him and Kelly many years
