Aluminum over the acrylic? Gap in between perhaps? Halo sides?

Do tell...

It's in the works.
Will post completed project.

Plastic router bit did not like .07 steel.
Ordered four steel bits and made two passes with one bit and lubrication.

Nice stuff.

Do you mind sharing what bits you used and what your feeds/speeds were on the metal? Thanks.

I'm no expert, just trial and error
20% speed
16000 rpm
3/16" dia SC 3 flute spiral coated for steel 7/16" CEL / HARTLAUER BITS
Two passes
Sprayed cutting fluid on first pass. Filled channel with fluid for second pass.
Happy Cutting.

Thanks for the info.

For the Camaster machines that have pop-up-pins, the registration groove is cut into the frame of the machine with the machine's spindle. It's pretty deep so it must take a while, but it lets you know it'll do it.
