Default Post help!

I have been trying to use Fusion 360 to make a few parts today. The post is setup so the G2 and G3 are modal commands, and my machine will not run these correctly. I think I need to either change my machine config or just modify the post. I have tried modifying the post, but t keeps doing the same thing. Any ideas?

Travis

Travis...
Can you post the header and a few lines of code from your file and what model and year your machine is?

Well, I figured it out after I posted that last night. I (nervously) modified the wincnc.ini file. I simply added a line - arcs=M1 - under the arc type line. Then reran the same program, and It went fine! Thanks!

I think it's best to revoke this thread instead of starting a new one.

I'm trying to get the rotary option to work in fusion when I use the PP that was attached earlier in this thread I get the following error:

Code:
Error: Failed to invoke function 'onSection'.
Error: Failed to invoke 'onSection' in the post configuration.
Error: Failed to execute configuration.
Stop time: Thursday, May 18, 2017 1:47:34 PM
Post processing failed.
Can anyone help? Here is my Fusion 360 file - http://a360.co/2qAs2VT and the PP is here.

I finally achieved to make to PP work! Yayy!!!

I can now cut simultaneously on all four axis.

I added those lines to the PP in the onOpen function:
Code:
var aAxis = createAxis({coordinate:0, table:false, axis:[0, 1, 0], range:[-360,360], preference:1});
  machineConfiguration = new MachineConfiguration(aAxis);
  setMachineConfiguration(machineConfiguration);
And removed:

Code:
if (!machineConfiguration.isMachineCoordinate(0)) {
    aOutput.disable();
  }

I need to adjust the toolpath but it works!
Watch a video of the machine do 4axis work

Great work, fantastic results. Will look at the Fusion software, it seems so much more robust for 3d work.

Question Fusion 360 Stinger I 2014 SR-23 Model

Anyone got Fusion 360 CAM to work with a Singer I yet? I guess I'm looking for the postprocessor file. I see the postprocessor aaronwe posted in 12-05-2014, 12:54 PM would that still be a good file to use today?

Thank you

I think you can use the post I've been fiddling with.

I decided to share the PP I've been fiddling with. I finally got the lead in and lead out commands to work. And the tool orientation works as well so I think that I've made all the features work that the CAM section of Fusion 360 offers.

Even though it works perfectly for me it doesn't mean it will work for you. Be careful when testing it out. It's not guarantied that it will work for you. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

I've got Stinger III with a recoil lathe and FTC.

Just wanted to release the newest version of the PP I've been fixing.

These are the changes I've made so far:
  • Added property and functionality to be able to use the 4th axis (recoil lathe).
  • Fixed lead in and lead out functionality (there was an issue with lead in and lead out, G2/G3).
  • Added property to be able to use FTC.
  • Fixed rapid movement G0 (all moves were G1 - feed moves).

Updated PP

You can now use tool orientation inside Fusion 360 and you don't have to measure tool if you're using the same bit as in previous toolpath.
