Default Where to learn how to get started...

After reading about what happens if its done wrong, and seeing next to nothing in the Stinger Manual regarding the Recoil I was wondering if there is a "how to" set up and getting started using the Recoil. I think I have my Aspire file set up fine, and have my material center as the z0. But I don't know how to set z0 on my Stinger1 and need some other basic startup info. Just not finding it.

Can anyone point me to some good start up docs I can read?

Thank you,
Ian Martin

I highly recommend Gary Campbells one on one rotary lathe class. Its done over the phone with a nice Power Point slide show. Gary does an excellent job in getting you off the ground to use the lathe. Well worth the time. Send him a message to get more won't regret it.

I would second the recommendation for Gary’s rotary class, well worth the expense!

In addition to Gary's training, there are several CAMaster-specific videos on YouTube that provide some tips for using the rotary axis. Mick Martain, has one that walks through setup, for example.

I learned from the YouTube videos, but would have saved time and money by taking Gary's training (didn't know about it at the time).
