Thumbs up Howdy from Kansas

I've purchased a "new" 2015 Stinger IV and it will be arriving this week. The guy I bought the machine from purchased it to use on a project and never did. It was never even uncrated so I'm getting a mostly new machine. Unfortunately we're still in the process of retrofitting the shop it is going to go in so it will be a little bit before I'm up and running.

I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions after the move and everything gets uncrated. I'm currently working through the Vectric Vcarve tutorials to get familiar with the software. I'm also interested in the 2 day class run at Camaster but it looks like I missed the most recent one by a month. Are those run a couple times a year or are they only once a year?

Also I'm a former student of Texas A&M so I'm right there with you Trey and Rebecca.

Where in Kansas? I'm living in Colorado now but I make it back to Kansas City often.

Logan, congratulations on your "new" Stinger IV!!

On your question about Camaster training sessions, there are several each year...about every two-to-three months. And yes, it's worth your time...even experienced folks can and will learn something from the excellent trainer(s) and you also get the opportunity to walk through where your machine was "born" on the afternoon of the second day.

Thanks for the info Jim. I signed up on the Camaster page for info so hopefully I'll get pinged when the next one gets scheduled. I'll also try to keep an eye on the training forum here for an announcement.

Yesterday was the big delivery day and it went pretty smoothly. I used a skid steer with pallet forks and extensions to get the crate off the trailer and into the shop. Unfortunately there is a lot of work to do before I can get the machine uncrated and up and running (wiring, lighting, insulation, etc), but I'm pumped.

Thanks for all of the help already and this will definitely keep me motivated on getting the other boring items done so I can play with my new toy.
