Default Drill Press Modification

Cranking a drill press table especially a floor model down is fairly easy but up takes much too long for me. When I looked online for drill press table crank modifications there were many but they were either kluge or overly complicated electrical systems. Attached is my drill lift modification. As a former Marine I follow the KISS principle. It is fairly simple, just a stepper motor coupler from Amazon and there are many variations that will work, it doesn’t have to flex necessarily. Most crank handles are .5 inch or ~13mm. The other end is any round rod or socket adapter which is what I used that can be used on a drill or impact driver. I have one on my Grizzly 20 inch and one on my Nova drill press. Works very well and I hope if makes someone else's life a little easier.

I have pictures if anyone is interested I can email. I get a security token error message when I try to upload the pictures on here.

Yes please, send pics! Cranking the table with a half broken knob is a pain. How do you like your Nova?
