Default Hello from SoCal!

Hello everyone. I am very excited about being the new owner of a used SR-44. Even though all I have done is clean the machine up and replace the plenum board. Waiting for my new Hurricane to arrive so I can set up the vacuum system.

Here is a little about me...I have been working with wood for about 30 years and my tool collection has gotten more refined as time has gone by. I recently finished the remodeling of my kitchen which my wife is very happy about. Only took me two years of weekends and a few late late nights. Well, I am retired now and have more tome to play.

I took two classes at a local makerís space on CNC programming and practical app and I was hooked. I canít wait to start producing some cool stuff.

I use to be a co-owner or a Jeep forum so I know how valuable these groups are. I look forward to learning from you all and sharing what I have learned. The forum has already been a huge part of my learning process and decision factor in buying a CAMaster.

Thanks everyone,
Allan.

Welcome Allan! I'm sure you'll enjoy the Stinger II and this group.

Any specific projects or goals you have in mind or just exploring what's possible?

Thanks Mike. I have plans to make some table saw jigs that I have been selling, but I want them to more accurate...thus the "NEED" for a CNC! Other than that I look forward to exploring what is possible...

Thanks JP...Actually when I watch the Vectric videos, my imagination runs wild imagining what the narrator (I have heard her name is Becky) looks like. I have the hardest time concentrating on the content! LOL

Welcome, Allan!
Talk about a win-win....an SR44 and forum membership! The only thing that could be better is an unlimited supply of potential designer firewood!

You will love that machine and the people on this forum are simply the best.
Cant wait to see what you make with it!

Thanks much Joe and Mick! I agree and this forum has already helped me out so much...and all I have done so far is to level the plenum! I hope to someday be just as much help to others...
