Absolutely agree on the FTC, the machine keeps trying to use it though, and I have less than a clue how to use it. So I just stop it before it touches it.

And thank you for you help!
You are most welcome. The only reason I can think of the machine going to the FTC pad is from using the Tool Change post processor. If you are running a job with no tool changes you should not be using any Tool Change PP's. Hope that helps.

Ah, I will check that. The file only has one tool, and Im using the X3 PP. I may try another software other than VCARVE, something Im more familiar with as far as CNC code.

The x3 post processor is similar to a tool change processor. If you are only using the spindle use the single tool post processor to start out. That will help you remove a variable from your workflow. Also make sure to 3atch and follow along with allow the Vectric training videos if you haven't already. That will help lessen the learning curve.

1. Stick with VCarve.
2. Follow the advice given here.
3. Call tech support in order to schedule your orientation session so you can setup the FTC.

Good luck.

Make sure you are NOT using the ToolChange post processor when saving your toolpath file.

Im not sure how to tell, I only see a X3 PP and a X3 with recoil PP. Mine is recoil ready but no recoil.

I posted the G code its running, is it maybe the T1 command that is sending it to the FTC? Ive never had a machine with FTC, so its all new to me, unsure on the G code.

Update:
Just did a test by removing that from G code, and that stops it from going to the FTC. So hopefully that will help someone that gets a new machine. Remove all T1 lines.

Now it will run full program it looks like, but I cannot get the Spindle to turn on. It doesnt respond to anything on wincnc.

After the spindle speed set line there should be a code to turn the spindle on.

M3 [Spindle On]

Your post didn't input that line for some reason. I don't know a lot about that post processor or what it calls for with the three different heads. Hopefully someone with an X3 will chime in.

You may be able to use the CAMaster single tool post processor if you are just using the spindle but I don't have a X3 to test out that theory.

If you are only using 1 tool with zero tool changes you can call up the tool by typing in...T1, that will get the #1 tool in your library.
For your post processor (when you save the tool path) use the processor for camaster, no tool change. That will give you a program that will not go to your tool changer. You will have to set your Z, wherever you set it in your setup for your material.

Go to owners section of this forum. Use the single post processor listed below if you are only using the spindle. The text below is from the post titled, 2015 CAMaster Post P's for Vectric Software

CAMaster Single Tool INCH.pp
This post will work on all 3 axis machines, regardless of model, when a bit is in the spindle (T1 only on X-3) that has been zeroed to the design zero plane. This post has the "New Segment" added to allow additional toolpaths (same tool) with different feed rates or speeds to be combined into 1 file with one tool number.
