Doug, what bits are you using and what's the thickness of your material?

I don't want to speak for Doug but if I had to guess it is the vortex dovetail insert kit. They have a square version and round (same insert body, different blades). I now know who to ask tips on how to do it in mozaik when i get mine up and running! haha

I am using the Vortex 9101 round dovetail kit. Material is 1/2" Baltic Birch, actual thickness .468".

I would be happy to share my failures with you because it did not make much sense on the directions sheet.
A little experimentation and playing with the settings got the joint we needed.
You can see my notes I recorded of the sample piece. I have about 15 of those trial runs.

Does this bit have a 3/4 shank? The biggest I can use is 1/2.

Looks really good. I bet using that ply is key though. I can't imagine trying that with the non BB ply.

yes-mine is a 3/4" shank, but it looks like they also make a 1/2" version.

P.S.
The date is off by 10 years. Need to check my helper on that one. Should read 2018 on the sample.

Doug, what other bits are you using beside the dovetail when you make the drawer parts.
