Hi Mike, I am located in St. Joe. I've been keeping an eye open for exactly what you are offering here. I've already got dust collection in place. Been spending money on new machines like a drunken Congressman over the last 6 months so not sure if I'm ready to pull the plug on the CNC quite yet. I don't finance things so have to replenish some funds. It is something I'm going to need within the next year for sure.

datakes, if you have a business, talk to your accountant about how you might leverage this opportunity, tax wise for 2020, even if you need to do a short-term finance. A good, pre-owned machine is going to come at a nice price and the potential tax savings can make it a lot more attractive, too, more than making up for the need for somebody else's money for a short time. I did that in 2019 and was able to take the whole cost for a piece of used machinery at once.

Jim, I appreciate the thought. That same tax benefit would exist next year when I would be in a position to pay cash and have the actual need established at that point.

Financing goes against the core of my existence so it's really not a consideration. I spoke with Mike and am still pondering some workarounds to get the deal done. Ironically, we have known each other for years from the industry we have both worked in for decades.

Sometimes a deal worked out between two folks can be the best way to satisfy both the need to sell and the need to buy.
