Default Not cutting outside the line

I have a Cobra 512 with ATC. All at once its starting not to cut out side the line. When it's doing a final cutout it will cut outside the line like it should on the sides but the bottom cuts inside by ⅜" and the top cuts outside by ⅜". I'm using VCarve and a ⅜" straight bit for the cutout. On the VCarve program its showing the bit outside the line on all 4 sides. Any help will be appreciated!!

Its most likely that you have an open vector shape. If you look carefully you will see that, in fact, the bit is cutting inside the line on some sides.

Try turning on the toolpath preview solid option. This option shows a solid blue line exactly where the cut will take place. You will see which side of the line is cutting and how thick the cut will be.
To do this uses the dropdown on the “toolpaths” at the top of the screen and click on “toolpath drawing” then click on “make 2D previews solid”. You then may have to recalculate the toolpath and you will see the dotted line become solid. This is a great tool for seeing exactly where the cutter is cutting.

This option is great for seeing if toolpaths are cutting in corners etc.

Hope this helps,

Open vectors will cut: Outside right, Inside left. Viewed as though you were standing at the start point looking down the line.
