Default Sleek new sign using inlay toolpaths

This was a building sign made as a replacement for an existing sign to update their new branding logos. Not much creativity to it but I thought I'd post anyway to give newbies something to look at.
The panel was made from 3/4" foam PVC and the letters were made from 1" foam PVC and protrude 1/2" out from the surface. The design was toolpathed with the pocket inlay option in VcarvePro (what a great thing that is!). The paint for the panel and letters is acrylic latex.
I mounted it to the brick using long aluminum Z-clips (french cleats) and Tapcon screws. I epoxied and mechanically fastened the clips to the back of the panel.

Well, this one's my friend. Legal advice ain't cheap these days and I need to stay in tight with him.

Since he doesn't read this forum, I will share a lawyer joke;
Q: What do you call a bus full of 100 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?
A: A good start.

My apologies to any good ethical lawyers here on the forum. I know you're out there and that wasn't meant for you. ;)

Its always good to have trusted lawyer within reach.

And...an added bonus to the sign...every time your friend walks into work he can say "I passed the Barr"!!!

On a serious note, how much futzing did you have to do with offsets to get nice tight fits on the inlays?

From what I've learned from a good many signmakers, super tight fits are not something you want on outdoor signs because of the movement that occurs from temp changes. If the sign is going to be >10 feet from your eyes, I usually stick with a .10 offset (which leaves .05 on each side of the inlay). You can't see that gap standing a good many feet away, let alone walking by or driving by in a car. I've seen some signs push out or wrinkle up the inlayed parts due to them being so tight. I definitely do not want that to happen, ever. That means redoing work which equals losing money.
Plus, on some signs you view up close, you get a cool little shadow effect around the inlay with that gap.

That's a really clean looking, no-nonsense sign! I haven't tried that tool path yet, but clearly I need to.
