Default Late To Start

I purchased a Stinger 1 Feb of...2015 and just turned it on the first time today...lots of out of town work.
The black screen shows "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device or insert Boot Media in selected Boot Device and press a key"
I went to the GIGABYTE Bios screen and the Boot Option Priorities show: "SATA PS:ASUS DRW-24B1ST", which appear to be correct.
Do I need to contact CAMaster on Monday for assistance or is there a simpler solution out there somewhere.?

Hi Chuck,

I think you have a none bootable cd or dvd in your dvd.
Remove the dvd and boot again!

Regards
Claude

Nope, no cd or dvd in that drive and no flash drive anywhere.

Check the cable to the drive, not quite seated drive cables will still register but may not show on boot. Swap the cable cable if you need too. Try a different sata port port on the motherboard. After a year you may have some unwanted dust in there.
If that doesn't fix it more than likely the drive is the issue.

All that looks good and very clean. I've had plastic over it since I have received it.
Could it hurt anything if I take it to my local computer repair store on Monday?

Should be a diagnostic mode available, soon as you turn it on press F5 and/or F8 [can't remember which, no harm pressing them both repeatedly while booting] and then it should take you to a screen with various preboot options, one of which is to run diagnostics on the HD.

Obviously, if no HD is detected to run diagnostics on, you have a problem.
Computer is easy to open, in that case pop it open and make sure HD to motherboard connector is firmly seated at both ends.

Well, thanks to everyone that offered assistance. None of it worked...so, I took the computer tower to the local computer repair shop and they set it on the bench and it started up just fine first time...go figure. Not even going to loose any sleep over some piece of crazy electronics that works when it wants to. Anyway, I do appreciate the response from my first post. I believe you are going to be very good people to talk to in the future. Since it was a year and a half from receipt of the device to the time I turned it on today it appears there are about 8,000 or so hours of updates and downloads for Win 7 so probably not to much going to happen anytime soon.
Thanks again gentlemen.

I wouldn't update or download anything on the machines computer , I don't even connect mine to the web . They are optimized to do one thing , and that's run WinCnc .

Thanks, I now see I'm not so smart. Going to start reading and viewing videos before I make my next move.
