Will This Benefit You As A New Owner-

I am obviously stating my opinion here but I would say an unequivocal yes with more ways than you can comprehend at this time based solely on my experience.

Aspire Camp 2018 -

While very informative and enlightening to got through each of the classes, the extended networking I did during breaks between classes, the evenings each day, and the ideas proposed to the current challenges at the time (in regards to incorporating our CNCs into our process) by veteran CNC operators, more than paid for the cost of the trip/classes. Due to this fact alone, there are now 11 individuals I can call upon anytime to bounce ideas for changes/challenges off of from the last camp. No individual can put a price on the ability to call upon that wealth of knowledge any time it is needed.

The classes proved valuable and we were able to return home the wiser. Due to the knowledge gleaned from the last camp, we were able to improve toolpaths and/or completely revamp our approach significantly shortening CNC table time. Irregardless hobbyist or professional shop, TIME IS MONEY. For a phrase to be quoted so often, I find it confusing that it is frequently not comprehended.

While I could list the numerous examples individually, you will get the point with this ambiguous example. Have you ever been to an event like this and looked around at all the talent/knowledge compiled in one room? It is staggering to the mind if truly comprehended. Make a point to meet as many of these people as possible, discuss your current challenges you are attempting to solve when appropriate, and absorb the freely offered input. There will be very few times in your life you get the Michael Mezalicks, Brady Watsons, Gary Campbells, Mick Martins, Jim McGrews, Joey Jarrards, the CAMaster team, etc. etc. etc. of the CNC world under one roof. Utilize this opportunity!

Like all things in this race we call life, the Camp is no different as you will get out exactly what you put in. While it is rambling in a sort of South Georgia kind of way, I hope this helps!

Brother Ron definitely put the nail in the casket with his excellent response. :) Above all, it's the people that make it the greatest opportunity to improve in so many areas.

- US Router Tools - Joey Jarrard (Tool Expert)
- Michael Tyler (The free project master)
and many many talented people

I have always geared the camp to every subject anyone wanted to learn !

The theme is misleading to some as the focus is also on meeting people who can help you

In your case based on what you said , I would get to know Joey Jarrard, Ryan patterson and a few others

all of them are speaking at the camp on subjects you ask for

Another Question Asked by a New Machine Owner

James,

we are new Camaster users, we recently purchased a Stinger 3 4x8 table. We are using the V Carve software. Would the aspire camp be beneficial for us? We are looking to get a more in depth training on V carve. We are picking up on the software pretty quick, but I know with some training we could make some major improvements.

Thanks

Vectric is sending Todd Bailey from the UK to teach the software I spoke with him this AM and much of the work is on Vcarve pro

I would ask this question out on the forum and let some who have attended (This is our 11th year) tell you of their experiences with the camp..

I am going to post your question on the forum without your name to get responses for the new guys who have never attended

Since I am known for being longer winded than most politicians these days, I will attempt to keep this short.

Yes, based on my experience and those that I have been in contact with since the 2018 camp, you should benefit immensely from the Aspire camp. While I am only familiar with Aspire, I met and continue to keep in touch with numerous individuals from the 2018 classes that only have Vcarve and Vcarve Pro. The learning curve on much of this is especially steep early on requiring hundreds upon hundreds of man hours even with educational classes. Most of us could multiply the time investment exponentially if we did not participate in this type of educational classes periodically. The bigger unknown for you since you have not been to one is not what you get out of the classes. It is the individuals you will be able to meet and keep in contact with afterwards that will pay even larger dividends. It is simply priceless to us to have the ability to reach out to 10-11 various individuals we met in 2018 for their valuable insight and suggestions.

Like all things in life, it comes down to you and your genuine interest coupled with your desire to learn as quickly as possible that will determine the camp's worth to you. Hope this helps and looking forward to meeting you there!

The Vectric software Aspire is built on the V carve pro Program,, Aspire added Modeling to VCP..

Todd has told me much of his speak is based for beginners and is heavily based on VCP
