I have been getting a lot of scalloping on all my pieces on the Y axis. I know it's not a feed rate or spindle speed issue because my x axis is exactly how i want it. I have greased all the bearings and always keep the racks very clean.
Any ideas on how to eliminate this? I can feel a slight jerking on y travel. Here are a couple pics. Y axis https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B58...ew?usp=sharing X axis https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B58...ew?usp=sharing |

Mixer...
What model of machine do you own? Were the pics you posted in the X and Y axis cuts made in the X and Y direction? If so, then you cuts made in the Y direction are showing backlash in the X axis. Tighten belts, check grubscrews, etc. Numerous posts here with how to's.

Gary,
It's a Stinger 4 48 Yes they are shown in the x y directions. So looks like backlash in the X direction. Ok let me research. |
