Default Corian name plate

Not CNC made, hand made on a scroll saw. I know of no router bit that could produce a fine cut like this, blade I used was a hair thin spiral blade. Actually used 3 of them, corian is pretty rough on any cutting tool. Corian is .5 and the backing .75.

Once the name was cut out I used poplar to back it. Tricky sticking corian to wood, I used clear silicone adhesive and worked fine. I put spacers in to keep the name "standing proud" a bit, doesn't look too good recessed in all the way.

This is a surprise gift for our payroll girl at work, she works crazy long hours, does a great job and rumor has it that she feels under appreciated.
