I don't know that any machines have shipped with it yet...it's a brand new option. Luke posted about it in his personally "locker room" area here in the forum just a short time ago.

I had forgot about that, Herb...thanks for linking to it.

I suspect that "setting expectations" realistically for the gantry mounted laser is going to be very important for folks opting for that option. It's not a replacement for a dedicated laser system but will certainly enhance the capability of the CNC router format. I suggest folks opting for the laser carefully consider shop ventilation, too...

Hope to get my machine in a couple of weeks should can't wait to try it out!
I have used Model Master CNC to carve waxes to make jewelry with Artcam Jewelsmith for about 20 years. Now I use a 3d printer to design the jewelry with artcam and Matrix (a Rhino Program) Hopefully the learning curve want be to difficult.

Default Spoilboard cutter

What would be the best spoilboard cutter to order? want to flatten slabs with it also. 4 inch straight insert or up? 2 or 3 cutters? is 4 inch too big for stinger III with 4.02hp high frequency spindle from HSD?
Thanks

Insert for sure. I don't know that I'd swing a 4" cutter on your machine, however. I'd go half that so it's easier on the machine and honestly, even then, it doesn't take a ton of time to clean the surface. I use a 1.25" insert cutter on my Stinger II and it's also been versatile for other things, like surfacing solid stock and "large-large area" clearance removal on a door panel awhile back.
