Rhino is another good program for this type of work. It can make the slices without a zero/model plane getting in the way. It is the Swiss Army knife of CAD...

Export your Aspire model as an STL, pull it into Rhino and tell it how many sections you want, how far apart & it does it all for you. Then export the vectors as DXF, pull them into Aspire again and set them up to toolpath...

There's always more than one way...and yes - there are a LOT of hidden gems in Aspire to be discovered. I think they are purposefully hidden as a reward for those astute enough to use them. ArtCAM was the same way years ago...
