Default Clamps or Hold Downs with a vac system

HI, does anyone have any ideas or pictures to clamp material down? I have a 5 x 10 vac table but I don't seem to be getting sufficient hold down power through my mdf. I machined both sides and am only getting around a 7 cmf (? don't know if that's the right term) with all my valves open. I should probably replace the spoilboard and I will over time when I can find a good supplier in my area. I've sealed the edges of my spoilboard with Titebond glue but I figure I should find a way to clamp the material as well as I will be cutting some somewhat thin strips of material (3 1/2") and i heard that wont be a large enough area to hold with a vacuum.

you will need to cover the rest of your spoilboard with some form of material that air can't pass through, to keep the air from going through your spoilboard. Think of it, as the air is going to the path of least resistance. Another sheet of plywood would work good. I have even used plastic before
