Looking good Todd. I would beef up the one “T” joint with 2x2’s glued & screwed vertically on both sides of it.

Yea, that looks good, Todd. I look forward to seeing your machine in there and working!

I'm pretty much ready to go at this point. The only thing left to acquire is a UPS for the control PC, but I can have that in a day from B&H Photo once I have my machine on the way. And I truly hope that is real soon now...I'm getting itchy after 8 weeks of waiting.

"T joint"

Didn't know what to call it, but that's where I was thinking strong tie. I can see how your way could be stronger.

BTW, Todd, if you're going to be cutting a bunch of non-wood stuff, having the dedicated DC isn't a horrible idea, but absolutely have a pre-separator, such as the SDD so that material isn't flowing through the blower.

I didn't do exactly what you suggested, Bruce, but I glued and screwed a 2x4 at an L angle, onto the T joint 2x6. Then I screwed into that from both ends. Also added the angle brace. There are 5 #10 screws going 2 1/4" into the end grain plus the brace. Pull out on the end grain screws should be well over 350 lbs each. Besides the brace you see and the plywood on top, I added one of those 16 gauge plates you protect electrical wiring across the bottom with a couple of screws.

Overkill 🙂
